Community rules

Last updated: September 28, 2026

The Undercity is a crime game, and the crime stays in the game. Players from Brazil, the United States and everywhere else share the same streets and the same chat. These rules keep the city a place people want to come back to. They apply everywhere you can write: the global chat, the gang chat, whispers, your street name, and your gang's name and tag.

The rules

  1. 1.Rivalry, not abuse

Trash talk about the game is part of it: brag about a raid, taunt a rival gang, swear revenge. What is not allowed is going after the person: insults, humiliation, following someone around to provoke them, or ganging up on one player in the chat.

  2. 2.No hate

No racism, slurs, or attacks on anyone for their nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or disability. That includes Brazilians against Americans and Americans against Brazilians: both are welcome here. No Nazi or extremist symbols, names or praise.

  3. 3.No sexual content

Nothing sexual in the chat, in names or in whispers, and no sexual harassment. Anything sexual involving minors ends in a permanent ban and is reported to the authorities.

  4. 4.Nothing real

No threats of real harm, not even as a joke. Never share anyone's personal information (real name, address, phone number, photos, social media), and that includes your own. Don't encourage anyone to hurt themselves.

  5. 5.No spam

No flooding, repeating the same message, walls of emoji or capitals, advertising, or links to other games, servers or groups. Don't beg other players for money or items.

  6. 6.No scams, no real money

Selling in-game cash, items, Gold or accounts for real money is not allowed, and neither is buying them. No fraud: don't promise a trade you won't keep, and don't trick anyone into handing over their account. Trades between players are at your own risk; we don't undo them.

  7. 7.Don't pretend to be staff

Don't pose as a moderator, as The Undercity, or as another player. Nobody from the staff will ever ask for your password, your e-mail code, your Gold or your cash.

  8. 8.Names count too

Street names, gang names and gang tags follow the same rules. The moderators change an offensive name, and the account can be sanctioned.

  9. 9.Play fair

No cheating, bots, scripts or automation, and no abusing bugs: report them with the bug button in the top bar instead. Extra accounts used to send money or items to your main account, to farm invites, or to attack on its behalf count as cheating.

  10. 10.Any language, one chat

Write in the language you like: the chat translates messages on its own. Don't attack anyone for the language they write in.

What happens if you break them

  • Depending on how serious it is and whether it happened before, the moderators can block your chat (you keep playing, but can't write in any chat room or send whispers), suspend your account (you can't play until it ends, for up to 30 days) or ban it for good.
  • Hate, sexual content, real-world threats, sharing someone's personal information and scams can lead straight to a ban, without a warning first.
  • You get an e-mail and see the same thing in the game: what the sanction is, until when, the reason, where it happened and what was written.
  • A sanction does not refund Gold or purchases. A suspended account keeps its character, money and items.
  • Coming back with another account to get around a sanction gets both accounts banned.

Appeals

If you think the moderators got it wrong, you can appeal once per sanction, from the page the game shows you (the e-mail links to it). A moderator reads it and either lifts the sanction or answers you there. The e-mail address does not take replies.

Reporting and blocking

Tap ⋯ on any chat message to Report it, or Block the player to stop seeing their messages. A report goes straight to the moderators' queue. You can report a gang message or a whisper too: the report is what lets a moderator see it.

Moderators

  • Moderators are players chosen by the admin to keep the chat and the city fair.
  • They read the global chat and any message someone reported. They do not read gang rooms or whispers unless someone reports a message from there.
  • They never see your e-mail address or your purchases.
